RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Album award for Foreigner album Head Games. Released on Sept. 10, 1979, this was the group's third studio album. It was certified 3x Multi-Platinum on Nov. 6, 2000 by the RIAA for three million copies sold. 

Singles including the title track, "Dirty White Boy", and "Women" drove the album to #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and it did well many other world markets. Detailed Item Description: This is a RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum award that would have been manufactured around 2000 making it about 22 years old. The award is presented to John David Kalodner, who was an A&R executive on the project who also worked with Santana, Journey, Chicago, Heart, Iron Maiden, Cher, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ted Nugent, REO Speedwagon, the Black Crowes and others.

This award is all original with Ill Eagle manufacturer's sticker. The award is in VG to Excellent condition with only very minor wear on the frame and a few mars on the plexiglass. Security wall mounting hardware has been added to award back.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
