Just a couple of highlights from this week in music history!

MAY 4: Today in 2012, Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys passed away from cancer.😢 He was a founding member of the group and went by the stage name MCA. Yauch was just 47 when he passed away. RIP Photo credit: masao nakagami [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/deed.en]

MAY 8: Happy 80th birthday to Toni Tennille, born today in 1940! 🎂🎤🎹 The singer-songwriter and musician is best known as part of the duo Captain & Tennille. Fun fact: Tennille sang backing vocals on Pink Floyd’s The Wall!
