Just a couple of highlights from this week in music history!

JUNE 14: Today in 1982, the Human League was at #1 with “Don’t You Want Me”. It was the fourth song released from their third studio album, Dare (1981). Frontman Philip Oakey hated the pop sound and thought it to be a terrible song. The song has since gone on to be an 80’s classic!

JUNE 19: Happy 70th birthday to Ann Wilson of Heart, born today in 1950!🎂🎤 In the early 1970s, Wilson joined a local band that would eventually become Heart. Over the years, she has done solo projects, but has remained in Heart. Photo credit: Angela George [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en]
