The English musician, singer, and songwriter is best known for his involvement in two iconic bands: The Moody Blues and Wings. Laine was a founding member of The Moody Blues, a pioneering rock band. He was a Canadian singer-songwriter known for his melodic folk and country music. He was born on November 17, 1938, in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. Lightfoot began his career in the 1960s and released many successful albums throughout the years, including "If You Could Read My Mind," "Sundown," and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."
