Coming to theaters this week is a new comedy-drama entitled Yesterday. Music fans and, in particular, Beatles fans will be intrigued by its premise: The main character, struggling musician Jack Malik (played by British actor Himesh Patel) learns that after a mysterious global blackout -- during which he is involved in a bus accident -- he is the only one who remembers the Beatles and their music. This of course allows him to play their songs as if he himself has written them, which he discovers causes the same mass adulation that the Beatles experienced. Sure there are some romantic...
